Cycling Activity Packs

We offer some of the best prices in the market when it comes to cycling holiday insurance, but whether you were downhill mountain biking in Morzine or just going for a spin in Majorca, we were charging everyone the same price.

We’ll now ask you what sort of cycling you’ll be doing on your holiday, and depending on how risky your activity is, you might need to add a cycling activity pack to your cover.

Leisure cycling is covered by default, downhill MTB is in our highest activity pack, pack C. You can see our full table by clicking here.

Pre-Existing Conditions

We have updated our policy to automatically cover all of the conditions on our list of pre-existing medical conditions. Previously travellers were only covered for 2 items on the list. We are currently unable to ofer a top-up insurance for pre-exiting medical conditions not on this list.

The condition must have been kept stable and well controlled for the last 12 months by medication, which was prescribed by a medical practitioner, and you must not have needed to go into hospital or have been referred to a specialist because your condition has got worse.

The Policy Wording and the Insurance Schedule together make up the legal contract on which this policy is based. However, the Summary of Cover document will provide you with information about the main covers and significant exclusions applying to your policy. At Yellow Jersey, we source and arrange products but do not offer advice or make recommendations when arranging your insurance. 

This policy is suitable for UK residents traveling overseas to take part in cycling activities who need cover for risks including emergency medical care and repatriation. By default we cover leisure cycling while on holiday. For other cycling activities, you will need to add a cycling activity pack (level 1 to 3). Our cycling activities are categorized by risk. Selecting a cycling activity pack will cover the policy holder while participating in all activities within this cycling activity pack, plus all cycling activities in the lower cycling activity packs.  

You should check that your insurance cover still meets your needs. If you have had a policy for a number of years, you may be able to get the insurance cover you want at a better price if you shop around. It is important that you consider all aspects of cover when selecting your new insurance policy, most importantly whether the insurance covers the cycling activities you are taking part in, not just price. Not all insurance policies will have the same level of cover or service levels if you need to make a claim.
